Following the Tereza Sochorová presentation.
The Estonian contemporary art scene after 90s. Major changes, different venues, individual artists, festivals and artistic activities chosen by Pille-Riin Jaik, a young artist from the Estonian Academy of Arts, currently an Erasmus intern at the gallery. She will presented, among others:
Mark Raidpere: a video artist and photographer. Won Ars Fennica in 2009. Has been widely exhibited internationally after his Venice biennale 2005 series. Deals mainly with the issues concerning personal identity and its development in society.
Flo Kasearu: one of the new generation's lead figures. Well known for her creative mixing of different mediums and her socio-political artwork. Last year she won the Köler prize (the largest Estonian contemporary art prize) and, a few days ago, opened the Flo Kasearu House Museum.

Jevgeni Zolotko: is another really strong name of today's generation. He is a "post-apocalyptic visionary", especially noted for his strong approach and use of material. He does a lot of large scale installations (often with paper-mâché) that create his special and characteristically somewhat sublime atmosphere.
