Petr Rezek

Czech phenomenological philosopher, esthetician and art theorist delivers a fundamental contribution.

Petr Rezek in his work addresses among other philosophical questions of psychology, history of philosophy and history of ancient philosophy, the work of Jan Patočka, the theory of art and architecture and aesthetics. Since 2004, the selected older and completely original texts are published in a single graphical layout thanks to the publishing endeavor of Ztichlá klika under the label "Collected Writings" which also includes a book "Proklouznutí neboli smrt" (Slipping or Death"). Taking into account the lifetime creation he received the 2015 prize of F. X. Šalda. 17. 5. 2010 Petr Rezek was awarded the Tom Stoppard Prize for his book The architecture and Protoarchitecture .

He currently teaches philosophy of art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague .
